Celebrating their 50th year farming and their 11th year holding Scott’s Maze Adventure, Long and Scott Farms in Mt. Dora has acres of fall fun for visitors (not to mention great local produce and specialty items).

This year’s theme is “Fighting Hunger, Feeding Hope,” to help raise awareness of central Florida’s hunger issue, and highlight the work Second Harvest Food Bank does daily to help alleviate the problem. Visitors to the 6-acre maze will walk through the Food Bank’s logo and some veggies which  represent the over 5 million lbs of fresh produce Long and Scott Farms has donated to Second Harvest and Feeding America network food banks throughout America.

The Maze runs weekends through December 15. Hours are Saturdays from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m*., and Sundays from 1 – 5 p.m.* General admission is $11 for adults and $9 for kids 3-16 years old.

Just in time to celebrate Thanksgiving week, Scott’s Maze Adventure will be open to the public two extra days: Wednesday, November 27th from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. and Friday, November 29th from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. (CLOSED Thanksgiving Day).

Other activities include: a 60 foot long Super Slide, Playground, Jump Pillow, Mini Mazes, and a Zip Line for kids. For an extra fee, go on a Hay Ride ($4 for persons 3 and over) or for $2, fish in the catch and release pond (kids only).

*No one is admitted after 3 p.m., so that guests have at least 2 hours to see everything. Everyone must vacate the maze area at 5:00. Hayride tickets can be purchased till 4:00.
