There are a lot of fun events and activities happening this weekend in Orlando. Here’s a brief list of our favorite ‘Weekend Happenings’:

Ivanhoe Village Main Street Happy Holidays Sign Lighting, November 22, 6p: Join Mayor Dyer, District 3 City Commissioner Robert F. Stuart and the Ivanhoe Village Main Street Board to officially light the Happy Holidays sign on top of the Historic Ivanhoe Building for the first time in 20 years.

Festival of Trees, Orlando Museum of Art, through 11/24:  The Council of 101 of the Orlando Museum of Art presents “All That Glitters”, the 27th annual Festival of Trees, November 16th – 24th , 2013.

Barber Park Fall Festival and Movie Night is Saturday, November 23:  Come out and support the Conway community and see a movie in Barber Park.

Light Up UCF “50 Nights of Music, Lights and Ice, 11/15 – 01/05, UCF Arena Back for its sixth season, Light Up UCF “50 Nights of Music, Lights and Ice”, presented by Carl Black of Orlando and CFE Federal Credit Union, provides Central Florida families and residents with an affordable place to celebrate the holidays.

Jingle Eve, 11/23, 5p – 8p, Ivanhoe Village: The 2013 celebration promises to be one of the best yet as the weekend will mark the first time the Happy Holidays/Happy New Year sign on top of the historic Ivanhoe building has been lit in two decades!

ICE! at Gaylord Palms, 11/23 – 01/05, Gaylord Palms Resort and Convention Center: Join Frosty, everyone’s favorite snowman, and his friends on their quest to the North Pole in a colorfully frozen retelling of this original Christmas classic!

The Hunger Games:  Catching Fire opened this weekend at area theaters.
