WHAT: Frozen, on the rocks or straight up with a salted rim—margaritas are the libation of choice in February. Just off Park Avenue, Cocina 214 is celebrating National Margarita Day with its annual Margarita Madness recipe contest on Saturday, February 22 at 6:30 p.m. Contenders are encouraged to submit innovative margarita recipes for a chance to win a $100 Cocina 214 gift card and have their recipe featured on the drink menu. The top three contestants selected from the entries submitted, will go head-to-head, making their respective margarita recipes at the start of the celebration for judging. Complimentary samples of the competing margaritas will be offered from 6:30 – 7:30 p.m., and will be sold at a discounted price throughout the night. Contest rules and applications are available at the restaurant or on Cocina214.com.
Adding to the mix, a round-up of local food and beverage influencers will serve as judges for the contest:

Recipe submissions are due February 14, and should be submitted to [email protected]. From the entries submitted, three finalists will be chosen and notified by February 18. Both the event and registration for the recipe contest are complimentary and open-to-the-public. Contest applicants must be 21 years of age or older.
