Have you ever walked into a restaurant and known immediately that it was going to be an amazing experience? That is how I felt as soon as I stepped inside the front door at Eddie V’s Prime Seafood. The interior has a richness about it that just screams ‘amazing dining experience’. I had been to this restaurant a couple of times before when it was different restaurants so I wasn’t sure what to expect now that it is Eddie V’s Prime Seafood.
The property sits on a lake so the view is beautiful, especially at sunset. The have a great outdoor dining area that can reserved for a private party or other event, or it is available for general dining as long as it it is not reserved. They also have several rooms inside that can accommodate private dining functions.
My dining companions and I started the evening off with a variety of appetizers including Maine Lobster Tacos, Tartare of Pacific Tuna, Calamari and a bottle of Pinor Noir. As you would expect, Eddie V’s has an extensive wine selection and menu that offers something for every taste.
Eddie V’s is known for their seafood, but I opted for a steak. For the main course, I had the most amazing bone-in ribeye I have ever tasted. It was cooked perfectly and had such nice flavoring.
My dining companions had Sea Bass and Filet Mignon Oscar Style. The Sea Bass is steamed Hong Kong style with light soy broth and the Filet Mignon Oscar Style is a filet topped with fresh crab.
All of the side dishes are served family style and each dish was easily enough for the three of us. We choose the Roasted Baby Beets with Candied Walnuts, Truffled Marconi and Cheese, Steamed Asparagus and my favorite, Crab Fried Rice with Scallions and Mushrooms.
No dinner is complete without dessert and Eddie V’s does not disappoint. Their signature dessert is the Bananas Foster with vanilla bean ice cream. I love anything made with bananas, but this one of the best ones I have ever had. The other sensational dessert we tried was the Belgium Chocolate Mousse. You can’t go wrong with either of these desserts.
Everything we had from the appetizers to the desserts to the wine, was very good and this was easily one of the best meals I’ve had in a long time. The service was on par with the food making for an remarkable and memorable dining experience. Regardless of whether you live in Orlando or you are just visiting, I recommend you give Eddie V’s a try. If you don’t want the full dining experience, they have a great bar where you can order from the full menu while listening to music or you can go by and have a couple of drinks during happy hour. Eddie V’s is conveniently located on ‘restaurant row’ at 7488 West Sand Lake Road, Orlando FL 32819. They open everyday at 4p.
I’m hungry for Eddie V’s all over again looking at these gorgeous pictures! Cheers!
