I had an opportunity to visit Christner’s this week for Sips and Sides blogger event.  I had been there several times when it was Del Frisco’s, but have not eaten there since the name change.  I was a bit hesitant because Del Frisco’s was one of my favorite local fine dining establishments and I was concerned that everything had changed.  However, I’m happy to report that little has changed.  The same family owns the business, they have the same delicious menu and the same amazing service.  They separated from the Del Frisco brand so they have dropped that part of the name, but almost everything else is the same.

What has changed is that they now have private dining rooms that are a wonderful venues for business meetings/dinners, birthday celebrations and other special occasions. The private dining rooms are located on the left of the restaurant and the regular dining is to the right.

We had drinks from Winter Park Distilling Company.  One drink was called the Christner’s Moscow Mule and was made with Genius Vodka.  The other drink was Christner’s Manhattan and it was made with Bear Gully Reserve Whiskey. Winter Park Distilling Company names all of their spirits after places in and around Winter Park.  Very cool concept.

In addition to the drinks from Winter Park Distilling Company, we were also treated to Mini Crab Cakes, Hennings Cheese Plate, Sauteed Mushrooms and Osage Spinach Dip with Baguettes.  All of the food was delicious, as I would expect from Christner’s.

In addition to wonderful food, Christner’s also boasts and impressive Scotch collection, including 25 year old Macallan.

I can’t wait to go back to try one of their amazing steaks.  Maybe I’ll go for Valentine’s Day or my anniversary in February.
