Magical Dining at Napa Restaurant Orlando

Napa Restaurant is located in the Hyatt Regency Orlando (formerly The Peabody Hotel) on International Drive and draws on inspiration from wine country in Northern California. The decor is modern and elegant with a beautiful view of the pool and the menu has a variety of organic, farm-to-fork sections as well as a wonderful wine selection.

For our appetizer, I had the Baby Arugula & Watercress Salad consisting of heirloom tomatoes, grilled squash, frozen grapes (wonderful!), and Point Reyes Blue Cheese croutons tossed in a basil balsamic vinaigrette.  It was a perfect start to our meal.

For my entree, I ordered a Sous Vide New York Strip with Turtle Creek Goat Cheese mashed potatoes, wild mushroom duxelles and roasted garlic Bearnaise.  Steak was perfectly cooked and very flavorful.

My dining companions each tried the Crispy Fried Red Snapper Filet with preserved lemon risotto, broccolini and charred bell pepper coulis and the star of the show, Cioppino with rock shrimp, mahi, lump crab, mussels, spicy tomato confit, smoked paprika rouille serviced with grilled country bread.

No meal is complete with a a dessert and I cannot resist anything chocolate so I ordered the Gianduja Chocolate Cake.  AMAZING!  Other dessert selections included Pistachio Cherry Tart with vanilla bean sauce.

We shared a bottle of 2011 St. Francis “Old Vines” Zinfandel, which was an excellent pairing with our meals.

We were there during Magical Dining Month and ordered from the Magical Dining Menu, which featured a three-course dinner for only $33 per person.  Most of the menu options, with the exception of the Cioppino, are only available on the Magical Dining Menu, however the quality of the food will be the same regardless of whether you are ordering from the regular menu or the Magical Dining Menu.

If you live in the Orlando area, you are on vacation or you are down here on business, you’ll want to give Napa Restaurant a try.  In addition to the amazing food, service was wonderful and they have complimentary valet parking.

Disclosure: Orlando Connections was a guest of Napa Restaurant for the purpose of reviewing their restaurant. This in no way affected my option, all opinions are my own. I only write posts on restaurants that I would recommend to friends and family.
