The iDrive360 has a new Irish pub called McFadden’s Irish Restaurant and Saloon.  It is located at 8291 International Drive, which is in the same plaza as King’s Bowling and Sleuth’s Mystery Dinner Show.  We had an opportunity to attend the VIP and media night to check out this new place.

The restaurant is based in New York-based and has 14 other locations, but this is their first in Florida.  At around 11,000 square feet, it is also their biggest location with the average McFadden’s being around 6,000 square feet.

The restaurant has three distinct areas including the pub side, which replicates a typical Irish pub; The restaurant side, which is family-friendly during the day; and then the saloon, which is more of a party atmosphere.

We tried a variety of food items, but my favorite was the Beer Battered Fish and Chips with lemon dill sauce.  The piece of fish was so big that you could easily split it between two people.  It was the biggest piece of fish I think I had ever seen.

The other dish that was absolutely delicious was the burger.  The one we had was a ‘create your own’ and included cheese, bacon, onion and assorted other toppings.  The burgers are a made from pork bellies and ground chuck so don’t expect them to come out medium rare.  Our burger was well done, but was still moist.  The peppered bacon on the burger is amazing and is offset by the onion.

We also tried the Reuben, Artichoke & Spinach Dip, Shepard’s pie, Salmon

Of course, no trip to an Irish pub is complete with sampling some Irish Whiskey

Not a bad view of the Orlando eye from the deck either.

Food was good and we can’t really tell what service is going to be like because it was so crazy busy.  Hopefully, the service will be stellar and it can be a restaurant we’ll recommend folks add to their agenda with visiting Orlando.
