It’s a busy weekend in Orlando, March 21 – 23. Here are just a few things that are happening:
Arnold Palmer Invitational: The Arnold Palmer Invitational golf tournament is this weekend at Bay Hill with the final round happening on Sunday, 03/23. The defending champion, Tiger Woods, had to pull out earlier int he week leaving the field open. Adam Scott finished Round 1 of the Arnold Palmer Invitational Presented By MasterCard with a 10-under 62, which tied a course record. You can find more information at the tournament website.
MegaCon: Mega Convention, the largest comic book, sci-fi, anime, fantasy, and gaming convention, is at the Orange County Convention Center starting Friday, 03/21. There an exhibit area, costume contest, panels and special events. MegaCon will be open Friday, 1p – 7-, Saturday, 10a – 6p and Sunday, 10a – 5p. For more information, got to the MegaCon website.
Winter Park Art Festival: The 55th annual Winter Park Art Festival is this weekend on March 21 (9a – 6p), 22 (9a – 6p) and 23 (9a – 5p), 2014, in Central Park and along Park Avenue in downtown Winter Park, Florida. There is no cost to attend the festival.
NCAA Tournament: Orlando’s Amway Center is hosting the second- and third-round of the NCAA Tournament on Thursday and Saturday. For ticket information, go to StubHub where prices start around $60.
Pet Rescue by Judy Grand Opening: Pet Rescue by Judy is having the grand opening of their new shelter on Sunday, 03/23, starting at 1p with the ribbon cutting happening at 1:30p. The shelter is located at 401 S. Laurel Ave., Sanford (behind historic Paw Park). Enjoy refreshments, music, raffles and giveaways.
